Consistent Splits with Room for Strategic Adjustments Lauren Thompson completed the 2026 Mesa Marathon half marathon with an overall time of 2:50:12. Her average pace was 12:59 min/mile, covering a total of 13.1 miles. Notably, her initial split of 10:45 min/mile was her fastest, placing her 163rd in her division. By the 4-mile mark, her pace had stabilized at 11:14 min/mile. Mid-race, Lauren maintained steady pacing, hovering in the 11:23 to 12:31 min/mile range. Mile 11 showed a notable drop in pace to 16:54 min/mile, suggesting a potential area for strategy adjustment. The consistent pace early on indicates sound endurance, but enhancing the latter part of the race could help improve finish times.
