Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Laura Castro maintained a consistent pace throughout the 2026 Mesa Marathon 10K, finishing with a time of 1:04:52 and an average pace of 10:27 min/mile. Notably, her pacing showed slight fluctuations with a quicker final mile at 10:04 min/mile. The race started strong with a first mile split of 10:17 min/mile, and though she experienced a bit slower pace in the second mile at 10:35 min/mile, she quickly returned to a balanced pace between 10:31 and 10:35 min/mile from the third to fifth mile. Placing 52nd in her division (F19-24) out of 2851 participants, Laura demonstrated solid performance, especially in her final mile where she picked up the pace. Working on maintaining more consistent splits throughout the early miles might improve overall placement and finish time.
