Consistent Pace with a Strong Finish Devin Crabtree demonstrated impressive consistency in the 2026 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon. Starting at a measured pace of 9:13 min/mile for the first mile, Devin gradually increased his pace throughout the race. His most notable improvement occurred from Mile 5 to Mile 6, where the pace dropped significantly from 8:16 min/mile to 9:13 min/mile, followed by regaining momentum in later miles. Devin's pacing was commendable, particularly in Miles 11 and 13, with speeds of 8:15 min/mile and 7:50 min/mile, respectively. Crossing the finish line at 1:53:20 for the 13.1 miles, Devin averaged an 8:39 min/mile pace. Among his division, M25-29, he secured the 103rd position. Notably, he improved his placement during the final stretch, finishing 925th overall in the last split compared to his average race standing of 1083rd. For continued improvement, enhancing the mid-race phase could lead to even stronger overall performance.
