Strong Finish with Increasing Pace Maximiliano Ramirez demonstrated adaptability and a well-managed race by progressively sharpening his pace throughout the 2026 Mesa Marathon 10K. Starting with an initial mile pace of 13:11, he managed to accelerate steadily, concluding with an impressive final split pace of 7:47 for the last mile. This ability to enhance speed over the course is noteworthy and showcases significant endurance potential at just 15 years of age. While his overall finish time was 1:05:53, placing him 1092nd overall and 28th in the M15-18 division, the remarkable progression from a slower start to a faster finish is promising.
